My Favorite Museum So Far

Musée de Cluny |
The Cluny Museum--officially known as Musée national du Moyen Âge, or National Museum of the Middle Ages--has been on my radar for a while. I love medieval art, its inventiveness and its sumptuousness. I won't babble on--there will be little context--but I'll show some pieces that caught my attention.

Six tapestries, known collectively as the Lady and the Unicorn, are on display. This is the most popular work in the Cluny collection. I spent quite a bit of time in this room. Here is a link to a Wikipedia article about the tapestries with far better pictures. The Lady and the Unicorn

On the way back to the hotel, I found this. It may be the work of Ememem, a street artist who fills in the cracks of French streets with small mosaics.
